Soča Front – Isonzo Front
One of WWI’s bloodiest frontlines
Even today, traces of blood are still visible on the blanket in which the first wounded soldier from the Soča Front was wrapped in 1915 and kept in the Kobarid Museum.
This is probably the oldest photograph we’ll find of Voshütte – Erjavec Lodge (today Erjavčeva koča), built in 1901.
A postcard from 1931 featuring Vršič Pass and Erjavčeva koča mountain hut would capture a scene of rustic charm amidst the breathtaking Julian Alps of Slovenia.
