Another successful summer season is behind us. This year, we focused more on sustainability and less on mass tourism at our lodge. After setting up a paid parking area in front of the lodge, work on parking facilities will continue this September 2024, during which a partial road closure to Vršič may affect the arrival of guests. We will do our best to ensure that the work does not excessively hinder access for all guests, whether they are coming just for lunch or dinner or those who have a reservation to stay overnight at the lodge.

We look forward to the arrangement of parking facilities, especially at the top of Vršič, so visitors can finally follow the rules and park their cars properly. After all, we are still located within the Triglav National Park.

We would also like to remind everyone that the traffic sign indicating the occupancy of Vršič in Kranjska Gora does not apply to Erjavčeva koča and does not reflect the actual situation at Erjavčeva koča and its parking lot. Thus, the sign may indicate full occupancy when our parking lot is empty. The sign also does not apply to guests who have booked accommodation at Erjavčeva koča or wish to stop by for lunch or dinner.
