If there is one piece of advice we can give you, it should be this:
Take a day longer to spend two or three nights in a traditional mountain hut and live and travel like a local. There are so many places around that you can visit all of them anyway. When you’re here, we will give you particular locations to visit. They are reserved for local people as much as they can be, depending on the time of year of your visit.

Live and travel like a local

Live and travel like a local – Embrace the Nature

Imagine dwelling in a place so enchanting that it transcends mere visuals, enveloping you in a panorama that whispers the ancient tales of the earth. This isn’t hyperbole but a heartfelt testament to the splendour surrounding the Erjavčeva mountain hut. Nestled nearly at the zenith of the Vršič pass, straddling the delicate line between civilization and the untamed, this haven is more than a dwelling—it’s a gateway to Slovenia’s pristine beauty, located within the Triglav National Park’s embrace.

Our journey to this idyllic spot wasn’t driven by chance but by a profound conviction that this locale represents nature’s magnum opus. The decision to make Erjavčeva our year-round sanctuary since its establishment in 1901 wasn’t mere luck but destiny.

Live and travel like a local – Reserve your stay in the mountain hut

      Natural Landscapes Nearby:

Perched strategically between curves 22 and 23 of the Vršič pass, the Erjavčeva hut commands views that are nothing short of mythical. To one side, the picturesque town of Kranjska Gora lies less than 10 kilometres away, offering a glimpse into Slovenia’s vibrant culture and hospitality. On the opposite side, the pass unfolds into a realm of natural splendour, a testament to why this region is a celebrated part of the Triglav National Park.

The reasons to visit are as varied as the landscapes that greet you. Each season unveils a different facet of this natural gem, from spring’s lush greenery to winter’s ethereal snowscape. It’s a sanctuary for adventurers and nature lovers, offering many activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and skiing on well-marked trails that cater to all skill levels.

Reserve your stay at Erjavčeva mountain hut and live and travel like a local

No matter what, it’s your excuse for travelling; now and here, you can live and travel like a local for just a couple of days. Don’t just run through; take your time and stay a just day or two longer. It will made a huge impact to your holidays. Try to live and travel like a local ; that is the best advice we can give you.

There is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for you to see Škrlatica, the second-high mountain in Slovenia, turning into the purple colour of the sunset from the terrace of Erjavčeva mountain hut just sitting there in quiet with a glass of selected poison of your choice in your hand.
If you are brave enough, we can also give you a local poison to try and wake up all of your senses. We will tell you later all about.

Whether it’s evening or morning, you can not miss the colours of the sunrise or sunset. You need to experience them. They are different in the mountains. You can also find it attractive to meet strangers, share stories, or just listen to them and become friends. Like locals do.
