Night peace and quiet hours at Erjavčeva koča mountain hut

What are the quiet hours in the mountain hut?

We kindly ask all guests to keep quiet inside Erjavčeva koča mountain hut and in the surrounding area from 22:00 to 07:00.

Night peace is important in a mountain hut. Many guests come to Vršič Pass to rest after hiking, travelling, cycling, skiing, or spending the day in the mountains. Others wake up very early to continue their route into the Julian Alps, Triglav National Park, or towards nearby mountain trails.

Please be considerate of other guests during the night. Keep your voice low, avoid loud conversations in corridors and shared areas, close doors quietly, and respect the sleeping areas.

The hut is unlocked 24/7

Erjavčeva mountain hut is always unlocked for overnight guests. This means that guests can leave the hut during the night or early morning if they want to go outside for a cigarette, watch the stars, take photos, or start an early morning hike.

However, being able to leave or enter the hut during the night does not mean that check-in is possible during the night. Please enter and move around quietly so that other guests can sleep.

Late check-in is not possible after 21:00

Check-in cannot be later than 21:00. We are not a hotel with a 24/7 open reception, and we cannot provide night check-ins or late self check-ins after this time.

If you expect to arrive late, please contact us in advance. In exceptional and previously agreed cases, check-in may be possible until 21:00, but after 21:00 check-in is not possible.

Night bar and private events

The bar and restaurant do not operate throughout the night during normal overnight stays. Guests in the sleeping areas expect peace and quiet after 22:00.

If the whole mountain hut is privately reserved by one group, and there are no other overnight guests in the hut, a special agreement for a private party or extended night opening may be possible.

This is possible only outside the main season and only by prior arrangement with the hut staff.

Respect other guests

We ask all guests to be polite, respectful, and considerate. A mountain hut is a shared space, and a pleasant stay depends on cooperation between guests, staff, hikers, and overnight visitors.

Thank you for respecting night peace, quiet hours, check-in rules, and the mountain hut atmosphere at Erjavčeva koča.

Simple night rule

You can leave the hut during the night or early morning, but please do it quietly.

After 22:00, other guests may already be sleeping. Before 07:00, some guests may still be resting before another day in the mountains.

Quiet movement, quiet doors, and quiet voices help everyone sleep better.
