Predil pass, Slovenia - Italy
Predil Pass, also known as Predel Pass or Passo del Predil, is a historic mountain pass in the Julian Alps on the border between Slovenia and Italy. Rising to about 1,156 metres above sea level, it connects the Italian side near Cave del Predil and Tarvisio with Log pod Mangartom, Bovec and the upper Soča Valley in Slovenia. The pass lies between the powerful mountain worlds of Mangart to the north and Kanin to the south, making it one of the most scenic cross-border routes in this part of the Alps. With its mountain views, winding road, nearby Lake Predil and access toward Mangart Saddle, Predil Pass is a perfect destination for scenic drives, photography, cycling and discovering the alpine connection between Slovenia and Italy.
