Črne vode waterfall, Slovenia

Črne vode Waterfall, also known as Slap Črne vode or Black Waters Waterfall, is a beautiful and lesser-known natural attraction in the Tamar Valley near Planica and Kranjska Gora. Located in the Julian Alps and within Triglav National Park, the waterfall is formed by water that rises below Slemenova Špica at around 1,909 metres and descends through several cascades before reaching the valley. The final and most impressive drop is about 70 metres high, creating a dramatic waterfall beneath the surrounding cliffs. Because the water disappears underground shortly below the waterfall, Črne vode is especially interesting as both a scenic waterfall and a small alpine karst phenomenon.
