The peaks around Erjavčeva koča - Ština glava
Nad Šitom glava, also known as Šitna glava, is a beautiful and often overlooked mountain above Vršič Pass in the Julian Alps. Rising to about 2,087 metres, it stands close to the famous peaks of Mala Mojstrovka and Prisank, but receives far less attention from most visitors crossing Slovenia’s highest mountain pass. This makes Nad Šitom glava a rewarding choice for hikers and mountain photographers who want panoramic views, a quieter alpine atmosphere and a real feeling of high mountain terrain without following the most crowded routes. From the summit area, visitors can enjoy impressive views toward Mojstrovka, Prisank, Špik, the Vršič area and the surrounding peaks of Triglav National Park.
