Savica waterfall, Slovenia
Savica Waterfall, also known as Slap Savica, is one of the most famous and symbolic waterfalls in Slovenia, located above Lake Bohinj in the heart of Triglav National Park. The waterfall is 78 metres high and is especially recognisable for its unique A-shaped flow, where the water emerges from a karst spring and falls into a striking emerald pool below. Fed by underground waters from the Triglav Lakes Valley and the high alpine world beneath Komarča and Pršivec, Savica is not only a beautiful natural attraction but also an important part of the hydrological story of Bohinj and the Julian Alps. Its dramatic setting, clear water and easy access make it a must-see destination for visitors exploring Lake Bohinj, Vogel, the Seven Lakes Valley and Slovenia’s alpine landscapes.
