The area of Rušica, Rigljica and Frdamane Police is known for steep limestone terrain, exposed ridges, broken rock and a powerful sense of alpine wilderness. These are not easy tourist summits and should not be treated as normal hiking destinations, as the routes can involve unmarked terrain, route finding, scrambling and sections suitable only for very experienced mountaineers. Their position near Špik, Krnica Valley and the Martuljek mountains makes them especially interesting from a landscape and photography perspective, offering views toward Kranjska Gora, Gozd Martuljek, Prisank, Mojstrovka, Špik and the surrounding high peaks of Triglav National Park. From Erjavčeva mountain hut on Vršič Pass, visitors can admire this wild mountain world as part of a wider alpine journey through Kranjska Gora, Lake Jasna, Krnica, the Martuljek group and Slovenia’s most dramatic Julian Alps scenery.
