Tarvisio, Italy
Tarvisio is one of the most important alpine towns in northeastern Italy, located in Friuli Venezia Giulia close to the borders with Slovenia and Austria. Surrounded by the Julian Alps, wide valleys and the vast Tarvisio Forest, the town has a unique cross-border character where Italian, Slovenian, Austrian and alpine traditions meet. Tarvisio is known as a year-round mountain destination, offering skiing in winter, hiking and cycling in summer, and easy access to some of the most beautiful natural attractions in the region.
