Korensko sedlo - Slovenia
Korensko sedlo, also known as Wurzen Pass, is an important mountain pass in the Karawanks on the border between Slovenia and Austria. Rising to about 1,073 metres above sea level, it connects the area of Kranjska Gora and Podkoren with Carinthia and Villach on the Austrian side. Although it is not as high as Vršič Pass, Korensko sedlo is known for its steep road, sharp bends and strong borderland character, with gradients reaching up to around 18 percent. Its location makes it a useful and scenic route for travellers exploring northwestern Slovenia, the Julian Alps, the Karawanks, Kranjska Gora, Rateče, Podkoren and the wider alpine region between Slovenia, Austria and Italy.
